I've just got back from a disastrous school parents evening where my youngest DD's teacher told me that she was very worried about her learning, that she was unable to hold a pencil or write much of anything at all, and couldn't read even basic things. I sat there agog - She's just turned 5 and is painfully shy, but she CAN do these things and certainly does do them at home! How do I help her at home to encourage her doing the same at school? (She's my youngest of 3, never had these issues with either of my other 2)
