What would you describe as a noo noo? If you've heard of the term. For example when saying to a child do you want your noo noo?

Pepperpot99 Mon 29-Feb-16 09:54:05

isn't it that vacuum cleaner from Teletubbies?

DamnCommandments Mon 29-Feb-16 09:54:27

I came here to say "vulva", but that's clearly not the right answer...

DeadPooled Mon 29-Feb-16 09:55:00

A dummy?

RakeMeHomeCountryToads Mon 29-Feb-16 09:55:19

I would think it was a blanket or comforter of some kind. I don't like the term though.

sallykins123 Mon 29-Feb-16 09:55:46

LOL. I'm curious to know what others think....

Yes it is also a character from the Teletubbies. :-D

PeggyBlomquist Mon 29-Feb-16 09:56:10

My ex mil used to call my daughters dummy that. It used to drive me mad.

winchester1 Mon 29-Feb-16 09:56:34

My kid thinks its a nappy -,not sure why.

MummaMeerkat Mon 29-Feb-16 09:56:49

In our family it is vulva but there is a children's book called the last noo noo where noo noo is a dummy. Also noo noo is the Hoover in Teletubbies

liptolinford Mon 29-Feb-16 09:57:49

Blanket!

BendydickCuminsnatch Mon 29-Feb-16 09:59:37

I thought vulva too!

SoMuchToBits Mon 29-Feb-16 10:01:38

Well, when I was growing up, a noo noo was an elephant!

afternoonsun Mon 29-Feb-16 10:02:16

Dummy!

Hadron21 Mon 29-Feb-16 10:03:01

It's a Hoover in our house.

winchester1 Mon 29-Feb-16 10:09:15

Although maybe he is saying new new rather than noo noo

elevenweekstogo Mon 29-Feb-16 10:12:04

Hoover. My toddler calls the wee street cleaning machines noo noos as well.

CestLaVie93 Mon 29-Feb-16 10:14:28

Blanket or comforter for babies.

CorBlimeyTrousers Mon 29-Feb-16 10:14:40

I thought it was mainly used as a euphemism for female genitals. Although I do refer to nappy noo noos, confusingly for both nappies and naps.

DancingWithWillard Mon 29-Feb-16 10:17:22

I thought it was one of those wee blanket with a toys head attached. Like a small comforter. I would also think a dummy as some people here say that.

ratspeaker Mon 29-Feb-16 10:54:31

Teletubbies vacuum

A dummy - from a Jill Murphy book as I recall

A Scotish person saying Now Now

sallykins123 Mon 29-Feb-16 15:11:31

A vulva? Never heard of that before, lol! Me and my hubby were having a debate about whether noo noo is a blanket or a dummy. I've only ever referred to it as a comfort blanket, he is saying it is a dummy. Lots of mixed versions on here!

ItMustBeBedtimeSurely Mon 29-Feb-16 15:12:52

It's a dummy, definitely

WhiskyTangoFoxtrot Mon 29-Feb-16 15:14:57

Teletubbies vacuum cleaner

Or anything!

ajandjjmum Mon 29-Feb-16 15:16:05

A child's comforter - of whatever variety!

AnchorDownDeepBreath Mon 29-Feb-16 15:19:25

It's been slang for the vulva round here since the teletubbies.
