Not sure if this should be on parenting but I assume as its about after the baby is here it's the right place?

My sister can get me 72 pampers nappies for really cheap. I know you can never really work out how many you can get but I am trying to get as much as I can cost wise before I leave work to help with mat pay so just wondering how many boxes I roughly need? I said 6 boxes to someone but she said it maybe too many.

What would others do?

The only thing about buying bulk is if you find the brand rubbish once the baby is here.

I would put money away each week and buy once your baby is here, supermarkets do "baby events" regular and Tbh Aldi and Lidl nappies are cheap but good.

Sorry my post doesn't help much.

Don't stock up. All brands are slightly different widths and lengths. My long skinny baby could only wear sainaburys brand in size 1 and 2. When he reaches size 3 pampers
were the best fit.

The pampers ones work out cheaper than the aldi and tesco one at the moment. They are £3 for 72. I'm not even sure why the asda is selling them for this price as they are actually £7 in the baby event!

I have aldi and tesco ones for the size 1s so it's not that I have to have pampers. Just a good price.
Your right about stocking up though as the baby may not like them/be any good!

I agree - we found some brands suited dd much better than others. Similarly, a friend who stocked up was left with a lot unused because her baby grew faster than she'd expected. There will always be offers on nappies - I think amazon family do megapacks that are very reasonable, and own brands work out a lot cheaper than pampers even when not on offer.

Maybe I will just get 1 (or maybe 2 to help my ocd) boxes.
If the baby really hates them I know a few people who are due between 8-16 weeks after me

Buy 5-6 boxes, if you don't need them they will be snapped up on local Facebook pages if you want to on-sell.

For both my ds I stocked up while pregnant any brand whatever was good offer for both I brought 100 sz1 n 150 sz2. I then brought far too many size 3 for ds1 so learnt and stocked up on sz4 fort ds2 who at 14mths is in 4+ and am still using my stash!! (Although these are from newborn days when ocado shopping n their carrefour boxes of about 100 nappies were half price so £5 a box ui brought 10 (5 sz4 and 5 sz4+)

I also stocked up on wipes and didn't have to buy any on mat leave although we actually use aldi sensitive now as are excellent and about 65p a pack.
