how often to change pyjamas

As the title says really...how often do you change your little one's pyjamas? Dd is 18 months and I've always put a fresh pair on every night but just wondering if it's necessary now, I end up with tons of washing and they look worn quickly as they're washed so often she has loads but still go through them quickly.

Probably every 3/ 4 days at the moment (dd age 3) at 18 months it would depend of they got their breakfast down them in the morning, for dd it was probably every other day/ every 3rd day at that age depending on the mess!

My DS is 21 months and still has fresh pyjamas every night. It's just habit now I think rather than a necessity Smile

After every bath so 2-3 times a week.

Ds is just 2 and I change every night. I think I'll continue until he's in pants - by the morning his nappy is super wet and it means the pyjamas just don't feel fresh at all, so I prefer to wash them after every wear.

Every other night. DS is 20m

I did every night until out of nappies, and then every 3 ish days unless clearly needing a change earlier.

I agree with most of the above - DD is now 3 so we change every other night or every 3rd night. When she was younger it was almost nightly.

Aged 3, clean pair every other night.

I'm with Hoggle. DD is 21mo and even if her nappy hasn't leaked, her pyjamas just smell fit for the wash by morning.

Every other night approximately.

When I nappies we used reusable ones and they were super absorbent so still every other night as babies.

Obviously if they wet, or get food or whatever on them then nightly

DS was a big drooler at that age so it was a fresh set every night. He's 2.5 now and I try and get 2 nights out of them

Aged 6&4yrs, weekly unless exceptionally sweaty/ill. Mostly they wake up hot after dropping off and take their pyjamas off. When I go to bed and check on them they're happily asleep naked. Pyjamas go on after a bath and obviously come off at sleep time. Grin

Every night after bath. I wouldn't want to put worn PJ's on after a bath so I wouldn't expect them to (3 dc age 15, 3 &3).

Mine are 7, 4 and 14 months and have clean every night.

Clean every night (DS is 3 and in a pull up at night & bathed nightly).

I gave been wondering the same thing though. Nightly PJs feels a habit not a necessity now. (I think mine only get changed every 4 days although partially because I'm nearly 9m pregnant & have so few night things that fit!)

About every four nights for my 4 year old. They don't get dirty or smelly (if they did I would change them more often)

Clean ones every night must create lots of washing?

Mine are 8,6&3. They have clean PJ's every night!

Every night?! I change my 3 year old's pyjamas every 3 to 4 nights.

Do what you think. I do fresh every night for me and kids. Fresh clothes everyday too.

ds 13, wear pants under his onsie, changes onsie once a week.

dd1 10, 2 pairs per week

dd2 8 can go 4-5 days, but she usually randomly changes them when she feels like it, so about 3 pairs per week.

DD is 6 mo and I change her pyjamas every 2-3 days unless she leaks through her nappy. Sleeping bag is washed on the weekend again unless she leaks through her jammies.
I was initially surprised at those changing them every day- DD doesn't smell at all in the morning, just clean? But then I thought about it and she wears new clothes every day (and so do I) so I'm now considering changing them more often!

Aged 2 and 6 months here and they get clean ones every night. I think it's mainly because they get bathed every night and it would seem odd not putting clean pyjamas on after a bath. It does create a lot of washing though so I should probably try to make them last a bit longer.

Every 3-4 nights, I imagine. Particularly as she's back in pull ups at the moment, and if she gets dressed straight away in the morning and doesn't even eat breakfast in them.

My youngest ds is 16 months and I've been changing them every night but it's silly now, some days we just stay in and just pop out for a school run so i'm trying to do every other night. My six year old ds can go 3 days in the same pjs.
