Apart from the obvious - eggs and omelette - what other foods should I avoid that could contain egg?

Also if he's allergic to eggs then is it likely to have allergy to other foods too?

You need to read the ingredients on everything. You'd be surprised how many foods use egg as a binding ingredient.

My daughter has egg and dairy allergies. You just need to read the ingredients for everything. Boring but simple.

You can't have Mayo or most cakes. Occasionally bread or biscuits have egg in. Some free-from things have egg in as it's used to replace the milk. Fresh pasta will have egg in too.

It's not easy but you get used to it.

Children do sometimes have multiple allergies but equally possible to have just the one!

Fortunately I make the majority of his food homemade but as he gets older and when we're out and about or in a restaurant I need to know what foods to avoid

He's only 8.5 m at the moment

You will have to check the ingredients really carefully on cakes/biscuits/baked goods. Also mayonnaise and some other salad dressings. It can occur in some unlikely places like sauces, so you'll need to get into the habit of reading labels on packaged/ready made food.

DD1 is allergic to egg and tree nuts. You might also need to look out for food intolerance to things like gluten and dairy.

Have you been to see your gp? A referral to an allergy specialist would be useful.

There is no easy answer as it can be in so many things - noodles, pasta, baked goods and so many more. You will just have to check packets and with restaurant staff.

Yes he's been referred to a paediatrician waiting for appointment to come through. I've been told he can't have the flu nasal spray due to his egg allergy
