Very similar to DS.
Porridge and fruit for breakfast
Rich tea biscuit
Sandwiches, cheese and grapes for lunch
Cake for a snack
Sweet potato w tuna and sweetcorn for tea.

Need more ideas too. Pasta is always a winner for tea, he has fishcakes sometimes too

I was going to make him some salmon with breaded coating tomorrow, and maybe mild chilli and rice later in the week

She is two and is a grazer, she doesn't do well on three big meals and no snacks so we do smaller meals and more snacks.

Fuss central here Confused

Milk and then porridge for breakfast.

Toddler flap jack for snack.

Cucumber and orange juice for lunch. Rejected the 'pizza'.

A couple of chocolate buttons from the nurse at the doctor (a reward for getting a nasal swab)

Probably baked beans or an egg and then a yogurt or banana / watermelon for tea.

Milk before bed.

So pretty much the same as everyday.

I shit you not this is what my toddler has eaten today:

Low sugar Cheerios
Custard cream at the toddler group
A mouthful of baked beans

An that is it. He rejected the porridge with berries I made him for breakfast and the fish cakes and broccoli I offered him for lunch.

He used to be the best eater ever - now I wonder how he survives at all. I cry often (while he is not looking) when I see how thin he has become but he just. will. not. eat.

Am at wits end and I feel it's ruining our relationship with each other. I'm sorry if that's not the answer you wanted OP!

I think he too had porridge, milk &banana for breakfast (DH did it)

Snack - carrot, half a radish and a floret of raw broccoli he snatched from the side Confused

Lunch - we were out so her had a boiled egg, pasta, broccoli & peas. An ice cream for pud

Dinner will be - tesco chickpea and sweet pot falafel with pasta, brocolli & peas.

TBH this is veg heavy because he had a difficult poo thus morning! It's not normally quite thus virtuous Smile

Have any of these amazing sounding toddlers ever been fussy? Are they eating this well after having been through a phase?
My son stopped eating about 8 months ago around the time he turned two. I wish every day that he could just snap out of it like it was a terrible spell!

Whattheactualeff · 02/11/2015 15:44

thunder no my DD will eat anything, always has. To the point I actually think she might have something wrong with her as she ate a lime the other day and didn't even blink.

Oh Thunder that sounds tough.
I can't advise I'm afraid, food has aways been my sons reason for waking up in the morning.

He won't eat anything sort of 'mixed up' though. Pasta is plain, veggies are plain, spag bol/chilli/anything wet is no go.

What 15 month ds eats depends on the day of the week and who he's with... eats a lot more at childminders as he has to eat what/if other kids are eating!

Typically....

On waking/Bfast: 7oz milk, cereal and sometimes toast
Snack: fruit, biscuit
Lunch: ham sandwich, cheese, fruit, yogurt
Snack: fruit
Dinner: tonight ratatouille with grated cheese and pasta and something sweet for pudding

Struggling to get ds to eat much meat as he still only has 2 teeth and has gone off fish and certain veg - used to be such a good eater and still is but is picky when I feed him!

Report
FreeButtonBee · 02/11/2015 15:52

The above is what theyvare offered. Volume of what's eaten is not necessarily that big but I refuse to offer alternatives unless j have fucked up and made somethjng they really hate.
I have twins. One eats pretty much every type of veg going and will happily try stuff (took some rocket from the salad bowl yesterday voluntarily!). One is much much fussier. Will eat fruit but v little veg/salad.

But I basically have never bought any baby/child specific foods. Ever. That's my personal preference so although they are fussy enough, their fussing means they ask for plain food. They basically eat like my 70yo in laws! Grin

DD, 2.8yo, has had:

Cheerios
Fruit lot

Goodies carrot bar

Macaroni cheese
Cucumber
Tomato

Babybel

HM mince & tatties with carrots and peas
Rice pudding or yogurt

She may have a piece of the lemon drizzle cake that I've we've just made.

Always been pretty good at eating anything. Terrible faffer at mealtimes though.

Don't think my dd is amazing food wise, but she isn't too picky. She will eat any fruit, but doesn't really like cooked veg. She will eat most raw veg though so I just go with it or hide the veg.

Highlove · 02/11/2015 17:33

My list is just what I offered. Tbf, she tried a bit of everything. But e.g at dinner are loads of the sweet pot wedges, chilli she nibbled at then ignored. (It was v v mild.)
