Soaps & moturisers for 7week old

So far I've been giving my 7week old a bath in just water. And massaging his body with sunflower oil (recommended by HV)

Could anyone recommend soaps, shampoos & moturisers pls?

Stictly no Johnsons products, has heard lots of bad about it!

I have very sensitive skin, so with DS want to use something which will be very mild to the skin, as don't no if it could be very sensitive to some products like I am.

We used simple products when ds was very young as I've always had good experiences with simple www.simple.co.uk/our-products/product/baby-moisturising-bath.html however I had no reason to think he may have sensitive skin issues. If in doubt stick with water for now..!

I use the mum & me range, esp the emollient bathwash is great. It is very gentle and cleans without drying out. Often on offer in boots

We use the Simple range too. They seem to be gentle.

I use neals yard stuff when ds was a newborn. I don't know how good it is for sensitive skin but if you have one of their shops near you you might be able to try some before you buy it?

Meant to say - I only used the neals yard soap. I just used coconut oil as a moisturiser/massage oil very pampered pfb.

Nothing but water. They don't need it and even the most gentle will disrupt the skins natural balance

Is it okay to use these products from 7weeks? Or to wait a little longer.

Nothing here either, aside from a bit of coconut oil as a moisturiser. It just chemicals on their skin that they don't need.

I use Burts Bees Baby range and also Weleda Bath Cream for my DS, and have done since about 8 weeks.

Nothing on mine really, I used an organic lavender shampoo on DC2 to help lift her cradle cap from about 3 months, but even now they're 4yo and 16mo, I just put some very mild kids' bubble bath in the water and use a kids' shampoo. No soap or moisturisers at all.

We've only started using soap in dd's bath recently and she's 14 months. We are using aa sensitive sainsburys baby bath now, the non-sensitive dried out her skin. I'd use nothing on a 7 week old.

Mine are 8m and 3.5 and they have nothing in their bath, just water, unless they are mega filthy. They are bathed daily as part of a routine which is part of the reason, and I just don't think they need anything else. I use body shop rainforest shampoo/conditioner (no sulphates) on DD (DS is still a baldie!). Both have lovely skin.

Mine is 18 months and I just use water even now, unless he's actually got dirt on him (like paint from nursery or suncream in his hair).

I really don't think their skin needs soap products.

For dry skin I use epaderm.
