Clueless clothes question

If I am dressing my 7 week old in a dress what do I put underneath? Leggings? Vest? Sorry am clueless....

Id put a vest under and add leggings and a jumper if its cold.

Some dresses come with pants to put over the nappy. So you could do that. I prefer the nappy to be covered as sometimes babies can scratch at them and shred them a bit.

You can do what you like really.

The problem with dresses on tiny babies is they ride up when you pick them up, it's a pain. The best kinds are like a vest with a skirt so you've still got the poppers underneath. Tbh, in this weather, I wouldn't put any extra layers on, just dress and nappy.
