Sometimes, I hate being a mum. Of never, ever, getting a break. Ever. Not at friend's houses (I have no friends, thanks to my lovely but super high needs DS who needs constant attention), no toddler groups (high energy DS means no casual tea and chats), no babysitting family members (they all live far away). No dates, no movies, no restaurants, no coffee shops. Of 5 hours broken sleep a night. Every night. For two years. No adult conversation. Ever. 5 minutes on the phone with mum doesn't count. No lie ins, ever. No friends, no time off, no mental space to simply....breath. I love my children, but.....Sometimes, I hate being a mum. What's your confession?

....can your son go to nursery?

Sounds really really tough but there is always support you just have to find it.

How old is your ds? I found play dates and toddler groups really stressful until my ds was about 2.3 as I had to watch him all the time for biting etc. Are you eligible for 2yr old free preschool hours?

It is tough. The only thing that saved me was going back to work part time. I have a high needs toddler too and life is very tough. But now I'm back to work I've never loved it so much. Hope you manage to work out a way to get some 'me' time. You sound exhausted. Good luck.

I sometimes hate it too the constant thinking of what you need to organise, the constant breaking up arguments, the constant keep asking your kids to do something because they ignore you,not being able to walk out the door without planning and organisation need I go on Sad
