Clueless - how long is dry formula OK for?

I opened a tub of dry Aptamil 4 weeks ago when I was on my own with DD for the weekend (DW at a music festival). She's made last minute plans for tonight. Do I need to buy fresh formula on the way home from work or will it still be OK?

Probably says on the tub, but I'm not currently near the tub. TIA.

I thought it was 4 weeks. I know at some nurseries they will only keep a tub for 4 weeks before handing it back to the parents.

4 weeks as advised by hospital pharmacy and manufacturer. Not sure if it's on the tin. Personally I 'd use the one that's open. Or if it's just one feed maybe get the ready made stuff.

Thanks everyone. Used the old formula for tonight. I had a chat with a retired paediatric nurse friend this evening, who suggested I should be making up formula warmer than 70C, and then cooling it down. So I'm doing that. Seems to make sense.

Mind you, we get through so little formula that I might just buy it ready made and stop worrying in future.

Yep, save yourself the worry and just buy ready made.
Cow and Gate is cheaper, but virtually identical to aptimil, btw. Apparently made in the same factory.
