What does your 18 month to 2 year old like to do or play with?

Any fave toys or activities? What would you say, they spend most time doing?
I find it really hard to occupy her at home, feel like she doesn't like confined spaces (we live in a flat with a small garden so it's not small but it's only 2 different rooms to go in really). Plus she's very active so I often take her parks but I feel she gets bored of that too. am I the only who over thinks everything?

She mainly plays outside! We have a small garden with a sand and water table (her favourite), a playhouse and a little slide. However she's just broken her leg and is stuck inside so we've had to be a bit more inventive. She has some Happyland from mothercare which she loves, especially the animals (she has the farm). Colouring, stickers, play doh etc. I sometimes just put a waterproof mat down and fill a washing up bowl with water and toys. Lots of books. Also mega bloks. She's 19 months.

A watering can - the best eight pounds we've spent in a long time. She doesn't actually water the flowers or anything so I don't think that its popularity would be affected by the size of the garden. She mostly waters her own shoes, and the patio.

I was going to say water play - doesn't need much outside space. DD (18 months) will play for an hour on her own (me watching obviously) with a bucket or water, some bowls/bottles/cups...throw in some chunky chalks that she can scribble with and then wash away and she's in heaven.

Megabloks, yes, and stickers. Dolly and pushchair, especially with cups etc to play dinnertime with. Foam bath letters have been a big hit and she already knows about half her letter sounds from playing with them with me!

Chalk and chalk board very popular too.

My 18 month old likes a Mega Bloks (the big ones), Duplo and cars trains to brrm around. She also will colour for fifteen minutes. We have a play kitchen (older ds too) and she will potter around in that for ages putting food in containers, stirring stuff and taking lids on and off. She also loves a bag or box to rummage in, and hats to put on, small backpack.

Agree, bowl of washing up water and plastic cups.

Finger paints.

In the garden she will potter in the mud with a small trowel and bucket, watering can and sand and water table.

Books and wooden peg puzzles.

Gong for a walk with a toy trolley or similar to push is her new thing.

Dds favourite toys at the moment are her doctors kit (she's always got a stethoscope round her neck) and her teaset.

When it's nice I sit her outside on the patio with a large bowl (old recycling box) of water and several buckets etc. keeps her entertained for hours!!!

DD (nearly 19 months) likes (in no particular order):

Disney Priness Little People
Her kitchen
Lego (older brothers)
The Tupperware in the cupboard
Pegs
Paint/drawing
Dolls and her pushchair/cot for them
The ikea peg bashing thingy and shape sorter
Orchard Toys post box game
The garden (slide, paddling pool and trampoline).

Out of the house she adores soft play, hates swimming, loves toddler groups, likes slides at the park but not much else.

She's also partial to 9-10am on CBeebies

Oh and TV, she doesn't watch a lot but is obsessed with Bing! She will watch it intently and comes running in the room if she hears the theme music.

Oh god yes bubbles!! It's dds favourite word, if she sees a bubble or hears the word bubble, she says it over and over again!

Oh how did I forget bubbles?! DD adores them, likes to run around shouting "pop" at them!

A big tray with dried beans/rice/lentils and things to pour and scoop with.

Stickers- Melissa and Doug reusable ones are good.

Sand.

Balls.

Cars- particularly pushing them along hotwheels track

'Helping' me to cook, or standing at the sink playing while I cook next to her.
