Why the sudden massive appetite?

My dd is 11 months old. She's a happy healthy little monkey who always eats well. I breastfeed her each morning and then for ages now she's been on 3 bottles of formula each day.

The past few nights, she's been so hungry at bedtime! Tonight she guzzled an 8oz bottle and wanted more, so do went and got another 7oz. We didn't think she'd finish it, but she guzzled that too. That was 3 hours ago. She's woken up crying and dh is in there now giving her yet another bottle.

If she finishes this one she'll have had around 35oz of formula today, plus however much breastmilk she had this morning!

She's had 3 healthy but fairly substantial meals today too plus the odd snack.

Is this normal? Help!

Yup I know that feeling- my 10 month old eats more than my two year old! A sleep nanny told me ages ago with my first to offer porridge or weetabx as an extra meal just before bed, then offer milk as usual. She said the milk goes straight through them but warm cereal will be slowly released and keep them fuller overnight! Works for us!
