Present for older sibling from new baby

Sorry if this isn't the best place to post, but...we have a DD aged 2.5, DD2 due in less than a month.

What would you recommend as a 'present from new baby sister' for Dd1?

She already had jigsaws, lots of art/craft stuff and Peppa Pig stuff for Christmas, and
has lots of soft toys so she doesn't need many more of those.

Ds2 is 8weeks old we didn't want anything huge as just before Xmas so got Ds1 aged 4yrs a orchard toys game he could play with us at hospital at a set of 3 books he had wanted for a while and I read him them as his bedtime story when visiting me as I was in 2 nights planned section.

Also he chose a present for baby which was a small teddy blanket cuddly thing which sits in his crib.

DD (aged 5) is going to be getting a big sister necklace (heart pendant with big sister engraved on it) and some stickers (she loves stickers)

she bought baby a teddy with her spends just after Xmas and it now has pride of place in baby's cot.

Dd2 brought dd1 a baby doll and some clothes/nappies so dd1 could look after her baby when I was caring for dd2.

With hindsight I might have got a child's camera instead so she could participate in all the photo taking.

Camera is a good idea - she loves taking pics with my phone - but for an under 3 y-o I guess a toy camera not one that really works!

DH thinks it should be an actual toy for her to play with rather than a keepsake, as for him it's a transitional thing to keep her occupied during the weird new baby time. Left to me myself I'd buy a jewellery box or something I think!

I think the best present to get is anything they would enjoy the most. I got my DD1 aged 2.10 a pram, babyseat, highchair set for her doll when DD2 was born. She was completely indifferent to both her doll and the real life baby. I should have bought her some more matchbox cars for her wooden garage as that was what she loved at the time.

They are the absolute best of friends now.

I think the camera idea is a good one. The V tech ones don't take brilliant photos but they're very robust and good fun.

DD had wanted some binoculars for ages, first time she saw her brother there he was in his crib with a present for big sis. She was totally amazed

My dds were very capable of using a kiddizoom camera before they were 3 if you do want a real camera. I really like seeing the photos, it's like a little insight in how they see the world and what's important to them!

My mom said to get something cheap, that we know DS (will be 2.11) will like. So he's getting a Drs bag and dress up outfit that was really cheap in the sales.

DH took DD round a toy shop and saw what she liked best, then went back and got it a few days later. It was a rescue helicopter...we would never have guessed but she loves it!
