Slightly inspired by an AIBU thread I've just read, DD is about to turn 8. She has never outright asked about having crop tops but she has casually mentioned a few girls at school having them, particularly one she looks up to (who is a little too grown up for her age IMO)
I have been thinking and it occured to me I could get her a pack of the little short vest type ones as part of her birthday present ? I know she'd love them, she was clearly gauging my reaction last year when talking about these girls that had them - at the time I didn't think and just said they probably just wanted to feel more grown up as there was no need for them yet... but now I'm thinking (after reading that thread) if girls are wearing them - and I guess there will be more this year now they are in juniors, and I do know they still get changed with the boys... it might be an idea for me to get some, and she'd definitely feel more grown up with them
What do you think? Is 8 too young still, or do I go with my flash of inspiration?
