Yes. Is awesome for those little scabs inside your nose that you get when you have a bad cold

Also any sore skin or dermatitis

sillymillyb Sun 04-Jan-15 16:03:53

I used it as lip balm and it was brill. Also good on knees and elbow dry bits smile

It's great for sore, cracked hands. Also good for dc if they get sore noses when they have a cold.

scarletforya Sun 04-Jan-15 16:08:28

Yep, dry hands. My hands were super dry and chapped from all the washing/sterilizing/extra cleaning in the first year of baby's life.Lanisoh really worked, better than anything in fact.

Agree, lips, elbows and heels.

addictedtosugar Sun 04-Jan-15 16:25:26

Yep, and dry or cracked or sore skin you want an intensive moisturiser for.
Lips, knees and heals for me.

addictedtosugar Sun 04-Jan-15 16:25:49

any, not any

Nappy rash when severe

notonyourninny Sun 04-Jan-15 16:30:22

Best lip balm. Nappy cream.

Rub in babies neck folds when they get particularly chubby, acts as a barrier and heals up soreness from milk dribbling

Tattoo healing too. And burns when wet healing is advised.

Can you use it on Cradle Cap? My DD has it on her forehead and olive oil is ok and slowly clearing it up but it makes her head smell, my DH thinks I'm mad but I can really smell the oil.

FastWindow Sun 04-Jan-15 16:35:46

Yes, I've used it on nappy rash too, when it was all that was in the change bag. Brilliant. Going to try it on my poor babywipe /washing up hands too. Thank you mners!!

ChristmasHiccups Sun 04-Jan-15 16:35:46

Also good for waterproofing woollen nappy covers, woollen hats and gloves and anything else

BertieBotts Sun 04-Jan-15 16:40:52

It wouldn't do any harm furry. I liked Dentinox Cradle cap shampoo at that age, it smells like roses.

Mouthfulofquiz Sun 04-Jan-15 16:41:53

It's great as a nail / cuticle cream. And excellent as a lip balm. Got some on now in fact!!

furryleopard Sun 04-Jan-15 16:48:10

I wasn't sure about the cradle cap shampoo as it's on her forehead but at this stage not in her hair, it was in her eyebrows and I got rid of it but seems to be spreading upwards! I might try putting a bit of lanisoh on her before bed and see what happens.

Think of it as cheap Eight Hour Cream

Icedfinger Sun 04-Jan-15 17:13:48

Any dry skin on babies. Lansinoh is safe to go in their mouths so you don't have to worry!

dalekanium Sun 04-Jan-15 17:51:59

It does make a good lip balm, forgot to add that one.

I think it is way better than 8 hr cream and smells loads nicer.

I use it as night time lip and eye balm - I agree that it's better than 8 hour cream. It was good on a scabby burn I had on my arm too, and on dry cuticles. I stopped bf a l o n g time ago but still buy lansinoh!

Brilliant advice - I found almost a full tube in my bathroom clear out yesterday smile
