I use the little angels powder and softner on my 4 month olds washing. Absolutely fine, washes well and no rashes or anything on DS.

And it's much cheaper than fairy!

If you've got a Savers shop near you, the Dettol stuff is 3 quid in there.

I use the little angels stuff and it's fine...I also use the dettol liquid when DS is unwell or there's little well for us! You can quite often find the dettol washing liquid on offer.

Unless dealing with poo or vomit, you do not need to use any disinfectant or other antibacterial on washing (and I'd be inclined to swerve any product with these add ons for newborns in particular).

Napisan is best for dealing with body fluids. Any non-bio for anything else.
