Worried my DD is behind with development. She will be 6 months next week. She can just about sit up unaided, def knows her name, smiles and laughs. She wants to stand up all the time & can bear her weight, what can your 6 month old do?

Do not even go there! Enjoy the stage she is at- never compare! She will do it in her own time. No one will know in 3 yrs time whether she walked at 10 months or 18 months- same with everything else.

I look after a 6 month old and meet up with another one agree with Mehitabel don't go there children are all different and do different things at different times. Some learn to sit but hate being on tummy, other love being on their tummy can spin round but can't sit. When they get their teeth they also seam so stop learning new stuff for a bit. I notice when I did baby signing classes with my kids a child would learn to crawl, get teeth or walk and not learn signs or they would be signing away but not do any new gross motor stuff. Enjoy your baby she sounds like she is with in the normal range

They learn different stuff at different rates. Comparing just leads to stress imo. Dd took 6months longer to walk than her cousin and my opinion was "meh, she will walk when she walks".

Just enjoy her!

Agree with above. Unless she can't hold her head up or smile at that age I'd wait a good few months before worrying about anything.

Why are you worried? Sounds pretty normal to me
