At what age or weight does a baby stop going in their rear facing car seat? And what's the next option?

Depends on the seat tbh as some rear face up to age 4ish. If it is an infant carrier than they are ok to 13kg, approx 29lbs. You can then get an extended rear facing seat or a forward facing seat with integral harness/bumper bar thing

Ideally, at around 4 years old. My 2yo is still in a rear facing seat, it's the safest option because infants' necks aren't strong enough to withstand an impact in a car accident.

Infant carrier type seats can be used until 13kg or when their head reaches the top of the seat. Then your options are a front facing stage 1 car seat, a rear facing stage 0/1 seat such as the Britax First Class that rear faces until 13kg then turns forward facing, or an extended rear facing seat (some are suitable from birth, some from around 6mo) like the Britax Maxfix or Dualfix, which are suitable to 18kg.

What age is your baby? Have you got any special requirements for your seat?

Thanks guys I've just found the make of the pram online and it states the seats ok up until 12-15 months old (baby that is!). X
