I know there's no right or wrong just wondering what others do. Change baby before or after feed? Especially night feeds.

After. they will do a huge poo as you are feeding them if you change them before.

Before to wake them a little bit

After.

the valve that lets food into the stomach triggers the valve that lets them poop so feeding often leads to pooping shortly after.

apart from middle of night when I changed before and hope they didn't poop so sleepy to put straight down.

I tend to change before incase DD falls asleep - she always wakes when changing. If she poops during feed I can just change the liner (reusable nappies)

I do it before as after waking up I don't like the idea of DS sitting around in a wet nappy whilst eating, he does often poo straight after a feed so I can see why people do it after as you do get through more nappies doing it my way, it's just personal preference tho

It depended on how dd woke up for me, she often went longer stretches overnight from a very early age and woke up screaming for a feed so I would get the bottle in her to calm her (she is ff) and do it half way through to wake her up a bit and she tended to take more milk after so would sleep longer again. If she woke up just whinging I'd do it before.

Depends on baby!

During the evening/night I used to do nappy first so if she fell asleep I could put her straight down.

During the day she was likely to poo mid feed so I would change her then.

As a newborn I would change dd half way through (just to be contrary) as she screamed for food the moment she woke and would not tolerate a nappy change, but after it would wake her too much (screamed through every nappy change for at least a month).

Feed one side (bf), change, feed the other.

In the middle. Then once she stopped feeding two hourly in the night I stopped changing at every feed unless dirty.
