How do you get one DC to school and look after the other one when you're throwing up?

I know I'm not pregnant as you have to have sex for that, think it may be the winter vomiting bug. Not sure how I made breakfast for the DCs, or got DD to school, I have a brief respite while DS has quiet time, then I have to make lunch for him. Sad

Looking after the younger one is tricky, nothing wrong with Cbeebies all day if needed.
I am ill myself today and decided to keep ds2 off school as well. I knocked on neighbours door and asked if she could take ds1 to school with her ds which was no problem. If that had not been possible I would have waited for another lot of kids and mums to come past or sent a text to 3 other mums on the street and see who answered

I imagine you are highly contagious as well as v v ill. Did your husband/partner just leave you to it and go to work?

Sympathy... Had this problem a number of times when DD1 and DS were small. Asked other people to call and take DS to school and bring him home. At home with DD, I lay on the sofa, bucket at hand, sofa swathed in towels and read to her. She is in her late 20s, so no all-day TV, no screens etc. Managed somehow but those days were very long!

It's physically hardest when carers are ill - when children are ill it is worrying but we can care for them.

Hope you are better soon.

CBeebies all day is fine. I would ask one of the other parents to bring DD home. If you're lucky they'll have her for tea and bring her home later.
