Any coping strategies?
She is dosed up on calpol and teetha granules. Drooling constantly, chewing on hands, screaming in pain, wont sleep, fussy when feeding, wont be put down.
At my wits end! I don't know what else to do. She can't hold toys yet to chew on so only has her hands, although that does seem to help her.

My DS was teething at 4 months... I can't remember if they can have neurofen at 4 months but I think they can so you can alternate that with calpol to keep pain relief up when calpol wears off. They can have both so I think we have him a dose of one every 3 hours and alternated which really helped.

As well as teething granules we used teething gel and Anbesol (sold over counter at pharmacy, great for adult mouth ulcers etc but is also good for babies teething). Also cooled teething rings, bit easier to hold then some of the toys so we put those in the fridge and he liked chewing on them.

Hope that helps. And that they come through quickly! My DS had 6 teeth before he was 6 months, hoping for a bit of a break now before any more!

My son loves to chew on a frozen muslin. Tie a knot on one corner and dunk corner in waster, stick it in the freezer. Its easy to help them chew on and easily numbs the gums for a bit. Helpful to do before feeding to ease the pain.

We used Dentinox which helped at around 4 months when DS started teething. I think it said you could apply every 20mins and at times we did have to do it very often. DS didn't like the bought teethers and much preferred things he shouldn't be eating (tv remotes, phones etc). We ended up relying heavily on a dummy as it seemed to give him a sucking comfort. Not sure I would recommend this but it worked for us during a very difficult time.
But there is hope - once the front top and bottom teeth came through the next lot either side just popped out without too much fuss! Now at 8 months he has 6 teeth and we have had a whole month without teething drama!
