Any tips or advice... My little 18 day old baby is really struggling with wind, and from early eve till the middle of the night especially, he is really unhappy and I think it's because of wind - any tips and advice as it's so hard to see him unhappy and in pain.

I always tried to get toy ds BEFORE he screamed for it and it really helped cute his wind.
Also not sure what positions you've tried but the one my mum told me was the best (retired mw)
Sit baby across your knees so they are sitting side onto you. Hold one of your hands behind the head and one under their chin and move in a circular motion (upper body). Loads more wind used to come up using that rather than tapping the back and the normal ones.
Good luck Smile

I use the position Choccy describes and find it really helps. Also put your son over your shoulder so the bone is digging into his tummy rather than just putting him against the shoulder, if that makes sense.

You could try infacol or colosynth (not sure how to spell that...) drops. He is still too little for gripe water.

The other thing that helps my DD (8 weeks) a lot is a warm bath followed by tummy massage - there are lots of massage videos on youtube, the 'I love u' stroke has been particularly helpful for us.

How are you feeding him? I breastfed DD and I found that if I ate peppers and onions she would scream until 4 am. I had to restrict my diet when she was tiny if I wanted any sleep.
