Dd is 9 weeks old and this week she is really strugglingwith wind. Im breast feedingandam taking her off thebreast regularly to wind her(she produces huge adult volume belches) and trying to keep her upright after a feed but shes still constantly burping, straining (archedback, flailing limbs), farting and yelping in pain as she does and crying.
Its affecting her sleep as she wakes herself up, and so she seems constantly sleepy and unhappy. Shes really struggling to be put on her back but daytime sleeps on me, esp over my shoulder or on her front (as a last resort watched like a hawk)
Im finding ways to sooth her but really want to solve the core problem, were using infacol and occasiobal gripe water and its a new problem so dont think allergies.
I did think it was oversupply as she took much less then suddenly fed constantly over last wkend in reaction to her vaccinations but have been trying to block feed and my boobs seem to have settled altho theyre still feeling full.
I just want my happy lively dd back! Should i takeher to gp? Is it just a phase as her digestive system matures? Could it be a response to vaccinations? Id really appreciate any suggestions
