DCs constantly hungry

I am despairing at the constant cries of 'I'm hungry' 'Mum can I have a snack'. They are both good eaters and I try to encourage healthy eating, cook from scratch etc. but they are permanently in the biscuit tin or with their noses in the fridge in between meals. Is this normal for 7&10 year olds? I am just a bit concerned about contact snacking habits or maybe they are just growing and need more food.

Sounds to me like they need more if it's that bad. Maybe it's a growth spurt?

What's their daily diet like? They might need more protein. Are they very active? Some children are very hungry and as long as they have access to healthy options and it isn't interfering with their main meals I wouldn't be too worried. Are you concerned about their weight or anything?

I think it's normal, as long as they are eating a good diet, are active and not over weight

They are girls both very active and no weight problems. Possibly growth spurts happening too which to make matters worse. I just want to promote good eating habits without being over the top or creating food issues especially with girls. It is difficult to know how to keep them satisfied healthy and how to keep the cupard stocked.

I would be encouraging more eating/ bigger portions at meal times of healthy/ filling food. I don't think constant snacking is a good thing.

Do they snack so much they're not hungry at meal times?
Are they bored?
