Dh is taking dc out to see a friend smile

It's been a tough week, I'm so excited to have some me-time and desperately don't want to waste it!

Personally, I'd spend ages wandering around a bookshop, then buy one book and go and sit in a coffee shop with a drink and a cake and start reading.

If no bookshop handy, I'd just do the last bit.

Are you seeing the theme here...? grin

Either as Nigel says ir a trip to the beauticians or hairdressers, followed by by coffee and cake

WipsGlitter Fri 28-Mar-14 21:08:34

Possibly sleep.

More likely lunch and a paper.

Cotherstone Fri 28-Mar-14 21:09:42

Sleep grin

Actually, I'd probably go and get a decent haircut, not a £10, 10 minute job from the local cheap place...

All the above sound lovely but I would get some nice lunch, eat and then nap in bed.

I so wish I could do this

V nice lunch somewhere with a book <eyes the pile of circa 100 books still to read>

NigelMolesworth Fri 28-Mar-14 21:12:47

Anyway, whatever you do OP have a lovely day!

sharond101 Fri 28-Mar-14 21:14:35

I often go for a swim on a Saturday lunchtime when DS naps. It's lovely though chaos when I return as he has usually just woken up and I still have hair to dry etc.

Mid-day, steamin hot bath with good music and a good book and plenty of pamepring products.
Absolutely self-indulgent chill time :-)
Hope you have a nice time OP.

I'd go for a run, personally. Then nice long bath. Feeling wishful now...

Rachie1986 Sun 30-Mar-14 04:15:57

What did you do OP?

cupcake78 Sun 30-Mar-14 04:25:41

Uninterrupted bath. Nice lunch that I could eat at my own pace. Listen to silence!

mumofboyo Sun 30-Mar-14 09:55:11

A long, uninterrupted, luxurious (to me!) hot chocolate with a chocolate muffin (that I can eat all by myself and not have to share) in a coffee shop with free WiFi so I can read on my phone without being climbed or jumped on or screamed at.
Then I'd stroll around a few shops, perhaps even try some clothes on in the changing rooms without my 3 yr old declaring that I have a hairy bum shock .
