I'm looking for inspiration and hopefully support if others are at the throwing food stage!

Ds is not quite 18mo and has had:
snack yesterday pm: soreen malt loaf
dinner (5:45pm) prawn stirfry and noodles-most went on the floor though he did seem to like water chestnuts Hmm
Breakfast:shreddies and half a banana
snack: organix cereal bar and some raisins
lunch (2pm as he napped late): half ham sandwich, hummous and cucumber. Ate a reasonable amount.
Tea tonight will be roasted veg pasta and cheese.

Any ideas for portable snacks welcomed-I spend a fortune on organix cereal bars but can't think what to replace them with.

DS is a little bit older. He's had:

Afternoon lunch: Egg and potato picked out of bubble and squeak and a banana
Dinner: Bits of bacon and rice picked out of chicken casserole and an orange
Before bed: bm
Morning: bm
First breakfast: Porridge made with whole milk and sultanas and a few frozen raspberries. Then cheerios as he was still hungry
Second breakfast (at nursery): toast and fruit (3 servings)
Morning lunch (at nursery): a bit of pasta and lots of fruit with ice cream

He'll have another light meal when he wakes up and then salmon and cous-cous for dinner (I present something healthy and savoury before offering anything sweet).

For snacks, soreen seems fine, or crackers and chunks of cheese. You can make cake/flapjack/biscuits and put them in Tupperware.

DD is a bit younger, almost 17 months.
Today she's eaten
Breakfast: 1 weetabix and half a piece of toast with marmite
snack: little pack of dried pineapple
lunch: cheese and cucumber sandwich, fromage frais, a few blueberries
afternoon snack: banana
dinner: pasta, chicken, courgettes and broccoli. Today the broccoli ended up on the floor (?!) - she didn't fancy it clearly... Grapes for dessert.

She has about 5oz cows milk in the morning and before bed.

This is her diet pretty much every day, although some days she'll have a scrambled egg with small chopped tomato and toast for lunch, and dinner is obviously different most evenings (stews, meatballs, pasta dishes, fish pie etc).

Also struggling on the snack front and spend a lot of money on rice cakes and dried fruit/ella's snacks. Interested to hear ideas.

DS (17mo) had yesterday:
Porridge w. blueberries
1/4 pear
Toast
Cheese sandwich
Yogurt
Satsuma
Mini muffin
Bolognaise & veg
Banana

Which is a fairly average day. The mini muffins are from the BLW cookbook and are sugar free, they are basically banana eggs flour and butter with a dollop of yogurt and some blueberries. I make a batch & freeze them, they don't take long to defrost so I just take one out of the freezer in the morning if we are going out.

Dd2 is 17mo. Yesterday she ate:

Breakfast: Cheerios, toast and a little bit of banana - rest got thrown altho she loves banana at other times.

Mid-morning snack: raisins and banana.

Lunch: toasted muffin with pesto cream cheese, cubes of cheddar, cucumber, apple.

Afternoon snack: organix cereal bar!

Supper: beef and ratatouille - ate 4 spoons then refused it. Was offered the same supper again half an hour later - refused it, ate a bit of toast and a handful of raspberries.

Bottle of milk before bed.

She does usually eat a good supper, but can be fussy. Lunch might also be scrambled eggs, a bit of quiche, some soup - only if eaten from my bowl. For snacks she'll have raisins, banana, apple, breadsticks, cubes of cheese, cheddar biscuits. If you get yourself one of those little tupperware pots with 2 sections inside you can easily take some breadsticks and cubes of cheese out and about with you. I find organix bars a handy snack too but agree they are pricy to give too often and probably not as good as fresh fruit or cheese etc.
