Just wondered if I could sterilise the scoop that comes with powered milk? I have the microwave steriliser but obviously don't want to chance it just in case, has anyone else ever done this??

Yep, we sterilised ours. We also never stores it in the tub as it tended to get damp from steam when we made bottles up.

I used to sterilise mine too... But within a month or so you'll have so many you'll have millions to sterilise while you use others.

However.... Ready for a breakthrough? Put the powder in all th empty bottles bar one, then use the final bottle to measure the right amount of water into the bottles with oowder. This way your scoop doesn't get cloggy!!!

Kx

How did I not think of that over two children?? Genius.

What you should never do is keep them all so you can add up at the end how many boxes you went through and how much it cost... Blush. Of course now I can't throw them away.

I do what KatyN does Smile

I've never steralised the scoop though - just never occured to me because the powder isn't sterile which is why you should use water 70ºC+ to make feeds.

No sterilising the scoop is pointless as the powder isn't sterile so there are bacteria until you add the hot water
