Cot bumpers?

Quick question.

I know bumpers are a no no for small babies but at what age would they be ok?

DD is almost 7 months and co-sleeps but I use the cot if I'm going for a shower or need to do something sometimes. She's constantly rolling around and lately has ended up with her arm and leg stuck around the cot bars.

Would a bumper be ok now?

A nice safe option for that is an Airwrap.

We have bumpsters which are also safe but more for stopping bumps than stopping stuck limbs.

The traditional bumpers are never good IMO. Early on they are a SIDS risk. Later they are like a climbing frame!

Traditional bumpers are not really ok at any age. Always a risk. I don't know why they are still sold tbh.

Somethings like the airwrap have bwr designed as a safer option.

Had never heard of an airwrap. Have it in my amazon basket.

Thanks.

I have the air wrap but my little girl still hits her head, it's not thick at all.

You can get the airwrap type ones for £9.99 in TK Maxx...

I was told (by a sales assistant in mothercare) not to bother with cot bumpers as some little ones work out they can stand on them, so it's a danger in case they climb out of the cot.
