Walking since 9mo, she has, in the last six months, taken to walking on tip toes. Happens mostly when barefoot, sometimes in shoes. She can go up really high on them too.

Is it a cause for concern?

Get it checked out by your GP. It can be completely innocent, it can be a sign of something or it can be caused by something.

DS has been a tiptoe walker since he could walk (he is now 4 and still does it!). He CAN walk on the flat of his feet, he has had his feet/joints thoroughly checked out, but he dies it out of habit and tends to do it more if "anxious" (ie started doing it more after moving house in November... Not that he otherwise seemed anxious). Our GP is monitoring it, but doesn't feel either the need or h benefit of doing anything right now.

He will grow out of it, but he does it more is anxious/agitated (starting preschool, moving, returning from holiday... ).

Am sure your DD's is fine too, by always worth raising it with a GP.

Ok, thanks for the reassurance
