Problems with 2 parents at school

My child has recently moved to a new school where she has been having a fantastic time and made 2 really good friends until their parents fell out with me and now they are being mean to her and refusing to play with her and whispering about her and trying to get her into trouble. What should I do?

My problem with the other parents came from nowhere. I was walking out of school with another mum when one if them flew at her in a really aggressive verbal onslaught. That's it. They have ignored me since and it left me really shaken. I was frightened of the violent parent so avoided her for a few days and now the effect is that my child is lonely, sad and unsettled that her 2 best friends hate her.

What do I do?

So had the woman you were walking along with had a falling out with the one who now doesn't like you?

Not until that point but now they definitely have fallen out

I don't understand how it all started then, if they hadn't fallen out previously.

Well if the parent truly behaved like that out of nowhere, and the children are behaving spitefully, surely you want your daughter to avoid them?

Just explain that they are behaving strangely, and that she should seek out less peculiar friends.

Speak to the teacher if you feel your daughter is being bullied, but don't drag the parents behaviour towards you into it.
