I think there are but they only have 10 posts about every three years so they come here in their miniscule numbers

My DH asked me this . He actually posted on here once when I left a discussion about boys clothing on screen - he 'kicked off' a bit but he did say he was my DH and not me

I think that's a good idea, having a Dadsnet topic. As long as it didn't prevent them from posting under other topics. I like hearing the man's perspective, but also like the fact that this is essentially a women's site.

His website was funny though. You'd get a Dad posting with a heartfelt query - angst with wife, trouble adjusting to fatherhood etc. and then reponses would be like - "Yeah, mate, it's bad, innit?" "You wanna go down the pub." "Did you see the footie?" and stuff like that.

OK, I'm exaggerating but the advice wasn't as in depth as Mumsnet, that's for sure

Definately wouldn't want to discourage any blokes from posting on general topics just that once in a while they might appreciate a bit of male-orientated space to chat/get advice/bitch etc.

It's called FathersDirect and Tom from there used to post here. Their talk board wasn't that busy from what I could gather. Tom was (is prob but he hasn't posted here for ages) eloquent and worth reading.

Tom. I wasn't far off with John, was I?

Hello,
Hot news: we are going to add a Dads topic - agreed it last meeting. Just waiting for those good-for-nowt techs to get their **es in gear (no way they'll venture as far as the parenting boards - so should be safe writing that)
Thanks as ever for the input.
