In limbo waiting for phone call.

Last day of half term. Had "the" phonecall this morning from friend going into labour, so unexpectedly got her ds until the grandparents get here.

My ds1 is in a sulk because our plans have gone out the window, so lovely atmosphere here for the poor kid!

I'm on tenterhooks waiting for grandparents to phone (they don't know directions to my house, I hate giving directions, argh!) and waiting for friend's hubby to sms any news.

It's so exciting, but I hate this limbo!

Sympathise - lol!

I usually print and post a multimap instead of giving directions - then it is their own fault if they get lost, might not be practical here though Wink

can you bribe your DS out of sulk at all by saying that plan aren't cancelled just postponed for a short while???

and then get them doing some exciting arty something to give to the new baby???

Tee hee that's better :)

Friend's ds is much younger - about 20 months I think? So don't fancy doing the arty thing!! We have TV on and every toy out - ds1 is contained watching the telly Grin

Grin I would be too, I love the whole limbo thing - that anticipation, quiet terror and fear along with almost uncontrolable excitement - it is like a drug. Having said that once the waiting is over I usually lose interest pretty fast - the only situations where that hasn't happened has been with my own kids lol, they managed to hold my interest for a while Wink
