I used wipes from day one (Huggies Pure) - never had any problems with LOs skin.
I don't add anything to her bath but do use a tiny bit of baby shampoo for washing her hair (so little that I am only just finishing a sample bottle from a Bounty pack and LO is now 5 months old!!)
HV is always commenting on how good her skin is Smile

We used wipes when out and about from birth, but cotton wool and water at home until DD was about 8 weeks.

We didn't use baby bath or shampoo until she was about 6 months as it just gave her eczema - but it got to the point where we needed to use some shampoo though as once she was weaning she had food in her hair nearly every day lol! We used Little Me as it didn't make her skin react.

DD is now 15 months and we still top and tail in the morning with just water. We bath her in plain water unless she's grubby, then we use a tiny spot of baby bath in her bath water. Shampoo is still a necessity though Grin.

I used sensitive wipes from birth but would never use anything like Johnson's baby shampoo as have seen babies with dreadful rashes after using it - they are generally very harsh.

At the hospital they showed us how to bath DS using johnsons top to toe, so we have always used that. Hospital provided cotton wool and bowls, but we did use baby wipes when the midwives weren't looking

I won't use Johnsons either - masses of perfume in it and one HV told me it's their range that causes the most reactions in babies.

I diligently used cotton wool and water for months with DC1, but by the time DC2 came along as there were wipes to hand I just went straight to those (cleaning meconium off with water is soul-destroying).

Really, water will be fine on her hair.

Every baby that has been exposed to johnsons in our family has had a reaction to it. I refused the bath in hospital both times and used the water and cotton wool for a couple of months, just in case.

We are a sensitive lot Smile

Always used wipes from day one.

Very very very rarely use shampoo/shower gel/soap. That bottle of shampoo is going to last about 8 years. I only wash his hair once a week (if that) and use a 5p size blob.

Don't use bubble bath. He's 9 months and just wants to eat the bubbles.

Pure adore do a lovely range of baby products with no synthetic chemicals. A little bit if the bubble bath goes a long way. I think asda & waitrose sell it.
