Every 2-3 days probably unless she gets really mucky.

She gets really dry skin so I don't like to bath her everyday.

Every night with the odd skip if he's not well.

He likes to play in the bath, its a good way to mark the start of bedtime (like that works!) and he will only be changed standing up so I like to make sure he gets a proper nappy area wash.

He goes swimming once a week so always has a shower after. Other wise just hands and face and bottom as they get dirty. He had really sensitive dry skin which gets irritated if washed too regularly. (obviously if he has an accident or gets filthy from a particular activity or food he will have a shower!)

Thank you. I was beginning to worry that I'm not doing it often enough after overhearing someone else giving bath every night. Everyone does it their own way, I suppose.

Every other night here.
But watch as this is (mysteriously) a touchy topic on MN. Wink

Every night.

I hate the thought of a DC getting into her grubby!

Mine all get tipped into the bath every night pretty much unless absolutely shattered or we've been out late or something. They are 6, 4 and 9 months bit we've pretty much always bathed every night. One or other of them will end the day covered in muck so I might as well stick them all in.

Twice a week usually, more in summer due to suncream etc.

my 2.4 year old gets bathed every night unless they are unwell or beyond shattered. She is a hot wee thing, so a good clean is needed everyday to keep her smelling fresh tbh.

DD2 has a bath or shower every night generally as she's recently started smearing her food into her hair so she definitely needs a good wash. She gets a little grumpy after tea so it's a good way of settling her down in preparation for bed. She'll happily play for ages with the bath toys.

Both my DDs are bathed every night (2.9 and 9 months) marks the start of bedtime both are always flat out by half 7 so I never want to rock the boat by changing the routine! I think my 2 year old would be furious if I tried to deny her the bath she loves it! I also like to pop them both in clean jim jams and tuck them in all fresh!

Every day as he gets dirty. We might skip it if very tired but will still wipe bits and face with a cloth.

Every night. He has always been a stinky thing. Smelliest feet I have ever known on a child. DS2 gets a dunk with him every night too, but he's a pukey wee thing. I have all the luck Grin

Dd1-7
Bath every night unless on weekends sometimes we skip if we have been out late.
Dd2- nearly 4
Gets a bath every other night unless she requests one or is really grubby. She will often to ask to be bathed every night she likes the water.
Ds- 10 months will get a bath every 3-4 days depending on when he needs one. One more often if his grubby.
I don't start bathing every day until they reach about two even then I've found they don't need it everyday. Dd1 hated the water and would only bathe every other day at the most (unless dirty and forced) until she got to school age and she started every day. Dd2 doesn't need a bath everyday but wants one most days. Depends on the child. You will know if they need a bath there are no rules :)

If he's had a long day at the childminder and/ or is really tired i don't bath him. It probably works out that i bath him about 4 times a week. There's no point in me stressing him out by bathing him when he's completely shattered. I don't like him going more than two days without a bath though,as i like to think of him as being clean and cosy when he gets into bed.

DD is nearly 2 and I was doing it every night until a few months ago. Then we moved to London and she got dry skin in the had water so I reduced it to every second night. Then we moved again to a house with a freezing bathroom and she started crying when we went in, so for the last month it has been once a week only! with hands and face washed every night, and a bum wash in the sink if she's done a poo

DD is 21mo and we bath every night, except when she's poorly. But she loves the bath. It's just part of the bedtime routine. I don't believe she actually needs a bath/shower everyday.

Every night - I think it's useful as a winding down activity before bed. If he's too tired however then we will skip it but every other day is a minimum.

Every night. It's part of their bedtime routine. He sits in the shower though as no bath where we are currently living and DD has her tummy tub!

Every other night for both my two dd's (ages 36 and 11 months respectively).
A South African dermatologist I saw recently (about dd2's eczema) thinks the British are very strange for not bathing every day but I honestly don't think mine need it (unless they get dirty/painty etc then I will bath on a non bath night).

My pfb ha a bath every night. Along came her sister and our bedtime routine went out the window. Dd2 (coming up to 3) is lucky to get a bath twice a week and I have put 'bath time' in my calendar because otherwise it would be less... Blush
