Difficult 2.9 year old...

My son is often grumpy in a social situation and I often have to intervene when he snatches from other kids or hits etc... So that I can never finish a sentence with a friend or if I'm hosting I can't even make a cup of tea as he will have made a child cry in the 10 seconds I've been gone. I've tried lots of different forms of discipline but nothing seems to work and it's been going on for a few months. Is anyone else in a similar situation or have any ideas as to what I can do?

Could he be hitting to get your attention? Are there any other triggers?

Try googling askdrsears hitting as it has some great tips and try one of the books by Dr Tanya Byron, they are great [hsmile]
