so this is the age old problem of grandparents giving ds (2.8) too many biscuits and sweets. he is a fussy eater as it is, but generally eats an ok diet during the week at creche, i do have problems giving him meals at home. as a result it dont like him eating too many biscuits etc. i do understand the whole thing about them not doing any harm in moderation, but we see them often enough for it to be more than moderation.
we were there yesterday and i saw fil give him a packet of biscuits, then i saw him opening another one for him and i said no more biscuits and he went ahead and gave him one anyway. then mil wanted to give him some choc buttons and i said no; i nipped out to shops and when i returned he had eaten said buttons.
im quite cross about them ignoring my wishes, and also bewildered that they think its ok to give a 2 year old two packets of biscuits (mini ones) and a packet of buttons in the space of about two hours!
didnt mean this to sound like an aibu, but just wondering if i should relax about it all and how others have handled this
