Anyone help me in a search for a new raincoat for DD1 aged 4.

Ive been searching online and instore for a lightweight but lined (preferable fleece) raincoat.
Not a boring old black but a nice colour/pattern.

Quite liking this but its about the only one I can find that doesn't cost a fortune.
Love some Boden and Hatley ones but they are more than I wanted to pay out.

Anyone give me any other ideas of places to look? Its beginning to give me a headache!

POP ones are fantastic, fab colours and you can buy their fleeces which attach in or be taken out to use it alone, or just use the coat for rainy, milder days. They are expensive but wash and wear brilliantly so can be passed down or sold on ebay for a decent return, i just got £31 for ds2's 6-12m outgrown one, without fleece, it still looked like new.

POP

M&S

Best not to go for weather resistant and just go for totally waterproof as there will be a huge difference

pigleychez Tue 25-Sep-12 17:43:11

thanks everyone. The M&S one is quite nice but not sure if its actually showerproof though. Looks like It might just be cotton.

Only need a showerproof one for autumn/spring as she has 2 bigger winter coats already, just needs something lighter. They all seem to be big coats.
DD is awkward to as she's an odd size. Skinny as a rake but with long arms!

I never thought it would be this hard confused

Have just ordered this bright yellow one for DD- there's a 25% off code knocking around which brings it down to about £26.

I'll have a look for it.

There's money off the Boden fleece/shower proof ones at the moment, down to £25ish, I think. With a £5 voucher I just got one for £21.

Spacel - Ooh interesting! Whats the voucher?

Have you tried ebay?

Hatley ones are fantastic though and you can sometimes pick them up cheaply on eBay second hand, or new for under £30.

I bought one for each of my DD's (aged 4 and 7) - they will definitely last 2 years and keep them nice and dry in this weather

Muddy Puddles?

I agree. Polarn och Pyret. Excellent quality. They say their aim is to make clotges that can be worn by more than one child. They have some nice shell jackets in bright colours.

Would that be the Scottish outlet of the Scandinavian kids clothes brand surrounded gringrin?

Liddle has some great fleecelined waterproof coats and trousers this week. (and no I don't work for them...)
