at what age do most people stop giving their dc milk twice a day? obviously fine if and when they want it, but is there an age that you are still supposed to do this until?

My DS has just turned 2 and we stopped his night time milk about 2 months ago as he just wasn't interested in it and wasn't drinking it. He still guzzles his morning milk down without stopping for breath though!
I'll keep giving it to him as long as he still enjoys it and see no reason not to.
I had milk at bedtime every night until i left home at 19.

My DS now 15 months still has an afternoon & bed time milk..but I think within another month or so he will drop the afternoon milk.
It just depends on the child & their diet- if they need that little extra by having the milk. I was told by about 18months...to expect to be down to just one milk feed...the bedtime feed.

I stopped milk with DS1 at 18 months as he kept on demanding more in the night and it was easier to have a clean break.

DD I stopped bedtime milk at 3 years as I wanted her to be dry at night.

DS2 doesn't eat, is 18 months and have cut down on morning milk but will probably do bedtime milk for a while yet.

DD2 is 16 mths and still has milk at bedtime and in the mornings.

DD1 is 3 and still likes a small glass of milk before bed and has some milk in the mornings at weekends. (both girls join us in bed for a while so she see's DD2 having milk and wants some too.)
