didnt want to read and run. My dd was a monkey from around that age too (though I didnt get spitting).
I think a lot of it is just experimenting. The spitting and screaming is where she experiments with her mouth muscles - think of it as a precurser to talking.
Biting could be teething.
The hitting and tantrumming we still struggle with (my dd 22 months). I just repeat (all day) "no hitting". Tnatrumming - I feel like I placate her when I see a tantrum coming and realise I need to do more about that.
I do think that the terrible twos start around this age tbh. And yes, its all about frustration too.
