Hi,

Looking to book a hol with DS who will be 20 months at the time.

Any suggestions of what country?

We are looking to go in May, but could be fleixble if found somewhere that had best weather at another time of year.

Also, what are your thoughts on holiday kids clubs at this kind of age?

Thanks so much

We went to Turkey when our dd was 15 months old and we all loved it. The locals were fantastic, so welcoming wherever we went. We went on a couple of nice boat trips with her, to the beach.

We have just been camping with our 21month old for the 1st time, she absolutely loved it, and was great for the whole time we were away. Lots of play opportunities on the campsite, and because we were near the coast, we could go to the beach and day trips.
Then only draw back was that our tent was a little too small - it's the one we used before having DD, but we have bought a bigger one now, in case it rains and we need space to spread out toys!
Def worth a go - cheap too!
Hope it helps :)

We went to Crete when DS was 21mths. As long as he could mess about on the beach, and have nice meals he was happy. It was his first flight too, and even this didn't bother him at all. You would do well anywhere in Greece or greek islands because they love toddlers with a passion and they are welcome everywhere. DS was always getting things given to him by shopkeepers!

Other places to consider are Puerto Pollensa, Mallorca and Canary islands. Canaries have pretty much stable warm weather all year because of their location. The shortest flight would be Mallorca, and also a wider no. of flights available from loads of airports, also because of this there are more 10, 11, and 12 night hols if you thought that a fortnight would be too long.

Have never used kids clubs so can't comment.

We took our 17month old to club punta prima in Menorca. It was excellent, 3 lovely children's pools, tables laid with highchairs and child sized cutlery, a kids club that you can take under 2's to (but u have to stay with them) and a 5 minute walk from the beach. There was also a mini-disco every night at 8.30, my idea of hell but dd loved it. The resort is a short distance from the airport so transfer time was short and there were regular buses to the capital city for a spot of sightseeing.

I am taking ds back to minorca in 2 weeks, he is 21 months and it's the 3rd time he will have been! I love Cala n Bosch and everyone is so friendly and welcoming of children.

No idea about kids clubs. They aren't something i would use personally

We've been to Ibiza with a 21 month old, then 4 and 2 year old and 6, 3 year old and 4 month old. Had brilliant time, also been in May - lovely.

Sani resort in mainland Greece. We went last year with DD 14 months and are going back next year with her and her baby brother. The kids club takes under twos, it is English-run and - staffed, but book well in advance as it fills up quickly. There are 4 hotels on the resort so you should find something within your budget. Lots of restaurants around the marina, all toddler and baby friendly. Gorgeous beach, very clean. Helpful little supermarket on site selling wine and nappies (who needs anything else?). Hope to see you there next May :)
