Advice on Monkey Bizness soft play particularly Braehead branch please.

Hi all,

Firstly, I'm not sure I'm in the right forum for this and secondly I don't normally use soft play areas but here goes.

I was in Xscape at Braehead recently and noticed that Monkey Bizness seemed to have a good deal on for membership over the summer holidays. We aren't going away this year and with the weather being so bad, our normal outdoor options will be limited.

I've had a look on the company website and they do have other branches so I was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on what they are like but more so if you have used the Braehead one.

I know some people think that soft play areas are the work of the devil and I myself can't abide our local one. However, despite having all the wet weather gear, extended ourdoor play is not an option given the weather. I really do hope it clears up for the holidays but need to look at other options just in case.

Thanks in advance.

It's great! Pretty big inside though so depends how happy you are with not seeing your kid(s) for a while - I used to like to be able to keep an eye on DD in soft plays but am a bit more relaxed now. Found it quite expensive and a bit of a swizz they charge £1 for adults !! If you're doing a membership though that might be included? Anyway, it's a good softplay - not sure where you're based but it's better than Monkey Madness in Clydebank and Sox and Slides in Dumbarton I think.

Thanks starrychime. Adult entry is included on the membership. I'm very relaxed about not being able to see the dcs! Ds1 is 8 and ds2 is nearly 5 but has Down's Syndrome so needs a bit more supervision.

I haven't done Sox and Slides but have been to Monkey Madness which I think ds1 will now have outgrown as it's not very big. Both have enjoyed the Big Adventure in Linwood although I tend to go there when the Paisley schools are in but ours are off because its unlimited play then plus its very quiet.

Our nearest one is Fun World which I detest with a passion! They have installed a large inflatable climbing wall type thing which ds2 wants to try constantly but is too little and doesn't understand why he can't have a go. They have also installed a race track with large bumper cars which cost an extra £1 for a ride. At busy times the kids spend ages waiting in line for a go instead of playing. On top of the entry fee and having to buy juice, it becomes a very expensive few hours.

Thanks again for the reply. Anyone else been?
