She's been sent home from preschool three times this term because she was sick.
She says she throws up because she sees another child, ahem, picking their nose and eating it. The thought makes me retch too. She also retches when baby ds has a runny nose. I've vomited before at the sight of snot. It makes us feeble jessies, I know.
She doesn't have a bug. She always eats a meal after vomming on these occasions and is perfectly normal. Today she came home after spewing and ate a big bowl of fish pie, some choco mousse and a cup of milk. And now she happily scooting round the living room with her baby brother.
I've explained to the preschool staff that she is very squeamish about this sort of thing but they say that she has to go home regardless.
So, I asked them to make sure all the children's noses were wiped or encouraged to be blown regularly in a bid to reduce snottage. They weren't keen on that but I would have thought for 3/4 year olds, a regular blow of noses especially in winter would be a normal thing to do in loco parentis.
How the dicken's will I retain a job if dd throws up at snot and comes home all the time?
