What do you think of my new routine ?

I have 3 under 4 and have found it all a bit scary. So I have decided to change the whole routine.

midday - cook supper.
3.00 - children in bath, baby 1st. Baby out, kicks about nappy free on bathroom floor, other two in the bath.

Put washing away (while kids in the bath) Get bedrooms ready for bedtime. Get tomorrow's clothes out ready for the morning. Tidy round upstairs. Kids out. Night clothes on.

4.30 - feed children and me, DD packed lunch done and in fridge for tomorrow.

5.oo ish DH comes home - supper ready for him, kids bathed and fed playing.

I now slope off upstairs for a rest/kip until 7 leaving DH to eat his supps, and play with the kids.

7.00 - DH brings kids up to bed and we both settle them down for the night.

Evening now free.

Done it twice now. The only bit I don't like is the children being in the bath unattended while I pop in and out, and them eating in clean night clothes.

Also, we no longer all eat together. But we do have more time in the evening together.

I had 3 under 4 and it can be pretty chaotic but you sound mega in control. If you like to eat together can't you and your DH eat after the kids are in bed?
