Link between antibiotics in mother and reflux in baby?

My DS is 6 months and has reflux which mysteriously is not responding to domperidone or omeprazole. He also seems to be intolerant to cow's milk protein and is on Pepti (having been EBFed until recently). I'm wondering whether the intolerance might be linked to my having taken loads of antibios during pregnancy (pneumonia) and labour (EMCS) and later for mastitis. The docs have evaded this question (perhaps it IS a ridiculous one) but TBH I've learnt it's often best to listen to other mums more than docs. Have other mums of babies with reflux or milk intolerance suspected the same link? I'd be curious to know, even tho i can't do anything about it now and am lucky enough to have an otherwise healthy baby...!

Have you tried ranitidine?

DS has reflux and cows milk intolerance but I didn't have antibiotics in pregnancy. Not sure how they could be linked tbh?

My DS, my first baby, had silent reflux

ALL babies have reflux due to the immaturity of the digestive system - some babies, more likely to be boys, have reflux more severly

As far as I know there is no link between ABs and refulx

Reflux and intolernaces to cows milk are linked tho IIRC

Hmm, hadn't given a thought until I seen this.

DS had reflux and he was born by C Section. I think they give Anti Bs as routine during CS>

Then DD was born whilst I was given IVAB for Group B and again had horrendous reflux.

Both had it a year and both responded to Omerprazole. (Doc told me Omep and Dom is the gold standard of reflux med).
