hi there i am a new to all this, im after a bit of advice on the best way to get a baby into a snowsuit.
the one I have zips down the front and around to the nappy/bum area.
I have seen it done with baby laying across mums knee on sofa before and that is how my mum would do it but starting with baby upright and laying down for zipping up to reach under bum area.
do you or anyone you know do it like this and do you have to get zip all the way down for taking on and off or is it just needed to go right down before putting him in suit.
thank you

i did it as if i was changing nappy, laid on the floor feet in first then lifted baby up to get underneath and then laid back down on top of the snow suit, and then put each arm in (hope it makes sense)

This is why I never used a snow suit Grin

Blankets/footmuff all the way. How on earth do you adjust the coat if you are going in and out of shops etc? It's not safe to use them in car seats either. Honestly I think they are one of the most often-recommended but actually useless bits of baby equipment out there.

I swear by snowsuits for baby's, can't bear seeing small babies not wrapped up snug in the cold of winter so it is a personal thing. Put suit on floor, sofa, change mat etc and lay baby on top of it, tuck feet in first and then arms, adjust, zip up!

I agree.love to see babies all wrapped up snuggly,my one pet hate,is small baby flimsy pram,no hat and one think blanket, and mum in jeans big coat an boots wtf....

I too would lie baby on the coat, put feet in first, and then arms and zip up..good luck lol

Each to their own. My pet hate is seeing babies overheating in a shop or on a bus because they are wearing such a big coat that you'd have to take them completely out of the pram to unwrap them.

I got a BabySnuggle - essentially a warm bag for the feet with arms and a hood, with a hole for the crotch strap for car seats and buggies. So much easier to put on, and unzip in warm shops. Once I got that, I consigned the pramsuits to the selling on pile.
