Walking Shoes in a Size 1?

Hi All

My DD is just about walking always wants to be on her feet outside.

However she has pretty small feet but I can't seem to see anywhere that do walking shoes in a size 1.

At the moment she has a pair of size 1 pram shoes (which fit comfortably), but they don't offer much protection or support and are always coming off!

Will we just have to make do with the size 2 'cruising' shoes?

TIA

I wouldn't get shoes a size too big. What about these kind of shoes? Not much good in the wet, but fine for outside. DS had them all last Summer/Autumn. If she's only just started walking you probably won't want her jumping in puddles etc anyway in case she falls over!

They are sold in cm sizes rather than shoe sizes though, so stand her on a piece of paper and quickly draw a line in front of her toes and behind heel, then measure between them and see the sizing guide.

Actually we had the opposite problem as DS' feet were huge so he had to go straight into hard walking shoes Confused I phoned up the company asking if they did shoes bigger than 18-24 - I see they do now!

Had DDs feet measured this morning and it turns out she's a 2.5 so by the time she's properly on her feet it shouldn't be a problem after all!
