Oooooh! Do another test to be sure, but a used test can "bleed" from one box to another over time.
Were they two distinct lines?

ooh yay another tester! good luck hope you get the result you want.

(possibly was an evaporation line? - althou these tend to be colorless)

if you have left the test longer than 10mins 2 lines cn often appear as it is an evaporation line...sometimes they can be very convincing...just do another check to be sre but dont read it after 10min mark as the result will be wrong.

stacijc Fri 12-Aug-05 13:16:07

can i just ask. i have a 14 week old baby. i stopped birth bleeding after 3 weeks, came on a period 4 weeks exactly after her birth and have had 2 really heavy ones since. i presummed this was normal. ( first baby) is it not then? i ask as couldi b said she hasnt had 1!!!
glad that you found out bu=y the way, and that you are happy with the result. x

mumfor1sttime Fri 12-Aug-05 15:26:10

Amyjo, Im not sure what is normal! I bled for 8 weeks after c section and have had messed up periods since!

vickitiredmum Fri 12-Aug-05 15:35:09

amyjo i think it depends a bit on whether you breastfeed or not. Breastfeeding tends to stave off periods - *but not ovulation* - so they dont usually start until breastfeeding reduces or stops when you wean baby etc. if you arent breastfeeding then your hormones tend to go back to normal quicker. Thats what ive read anyway!

vickitiredmum Fri 12-Aug-05 15:37:03

By the way - my son is 15 weeks old and my periods havent returned but i bled for nearly 6 weeks after normal birth. With my first child my periods returned exactly 4 weeks after I totally stopped breastfeeding/expressing at 7 months.
