Internet, email and broadband help needed urgently

We have just upgraded to biradband after being on dial up since we moved to this area, however, for some reason each time we press send or recieve in outlook express it requests a password. I thought this would stop when we got broadband but its still doing it, even though the box "remember my password" is checked - any ideas?

The only time I get this is when the email server is temporarily down.

Who are you with? If it's Telewest then I recommend their support line.

Same as saintgeorge, not sure why it would do it otherwise. Have you tried re-entering all your account details from scratch?

We are with btinternet, but I have tried everything, save from calling their expensive 0845 number

sorry - has anyone anymore suggestions as I have been away for a week on hols and was hoping someone might have come up with something!
