Anyone use Tiscali (you might want to read this...)

I have just spent the past hour composing a letter to Tiscali customer services.

I have only been a customer since April, but in the past week I have recieved 2 emails from customer services intended for other people and including other customers' personal information (including a password, in one of them).

I have contacted them about the first time it happened (6 emails so far... 3 replies) and they are denying responsibility, claiming that someone is trying to use my account fraudulently (despite the personal info involved). I emailed the other customer and she has a daugher with a similar email address to mine.

I am horrified at how careless and completely incompetent they seem to be. I think their customers should be made aware.

IMHO I would LEAVE TISCALI ASAP

I WAS WITH THEM FOR AGES AND DIDN'T HAVE A CONNECTION THAT STAYED ON

JUST LEAVE ASAP IS MY ADVICE

I'm very tempted, but bloody well going to get this resolved first.

I just don't want to have to move again as I said, only been with them since April. Fortunately it's not my primary email, just my ISP. I have a separate email not connected to my ISP for this very reason, that is fab and have never had any problems.

I just want as many people to know about this as possible. They are probably equally careless with everyone's info.

im with tiscali, they are crap, will dump them when fixed term is up.

I've got my broadband through them and have in the past got really p'd off with them but (touch wood) haven't had any major problems for ages. One thing that does annoy me though is the crap service if you ring with a problem. The communication is really difficult and I never end up getting my questions answered - all costing me money for the call!!

My contract ended last year so I could leave if I want but I have a feeling they've messed up and given me a faster speed connection than I should have and so I'm staying for now. I will certainly end it though if I get any of these emails!!! That's awful!
