dillydally the Catherine Tate sketch was sublime!

dillydally Thu 04-Aug-05 10:28:13

Does she love their zany ways SW?

expatinscotland Thu 04-Aug-05 10:28:41

Yuk, TGIs. I had this mega twat boyfriend once who took me there b/c it was 'American' and so he was sure I'd want to eat there.

dillydally Thu 04-Aug-05 10:30:47

I am loving the scale Expat

suzywong Thu 04-Aug-05 10:32:38

my favourite Catherine Tate is foul-mouthed old cockeny woman

I'm going to be like that when I'm old, only slightly more Home Counties

bundle Thu 04-Aug-05 10:34:31

I liked the gay (non-out) man at the doctors, too, Suze. glad its reached Antipodean climes...

are you wearing purple these days? and a hat at a jaunty angle? surely you're too young for this kind of behaviour (are you planning No. 3??)

expatinscotland Thu 04-Aug-05 10:53:28

He was such a twat, bundle, he actually sent in a written complaint one time about 'service' he'd received in a KFC! A KFC, ffs!? What'd he expect, a fine 'dining' experience.

I haven't eaten in TGIs since him. Just put me off the whole place as if the food weren't enough to do that.

bundle Thu 04-Aug-05 10:55:16

expat, did he expect candelabra? and moody lighting?

expatinscotland Thu 04-Aug-05 10:59:05

he was miffed that there was no coleslaw or corn on the cob to go w/his zinger meal. BARF! and that there were no 'serviettes' - he was always such a sad poser, wouldn't know class if it kicked him up the arse. how can the staff there be so 'apathetic', he pondered - such a profound intellect he had ? after all, HE worked for far less than £4.85/hour when he was 'that age'. i'd expect so, considering he's friggin' 42 years old and things were cheaper 26 years ago, ffs! what a colossal waste of space!

bundle Thu 04-Aug-05 11:00:32

..and where is he now expat? (hoping he's still on 4.85 per hr..)

expatinscotland Thu 04-Aug-05 11:05:34

He fancies himself a hot shot 'manager' last I heard. A manager of fine wet girls' blouses . He should get into managing nursing homes - would suit his personality better .

He was the type who wouldn't use collequial slang like 'shite' or 'arse' b/c it was 'low class'. LOL! He wouldn't know toff if it - again - kicked him up the arse.

We split b/c I made him feel 'less than' w/my 'university' education. And I'd grown up in a bungalow and gone to a private school. Of course, he said it was all my fault and I was just trying to 'show him up'.

Yeah, as if that would be challenging enough to even require an effort .

bundle Thu 04-Aug-05 11:08:01

sounds like a real-life sketch..

expatinscotland Thu 04-Aug-05 11:08:52

Yeah, with him as Victor Mildrew.

It was one of those 'what was I thinking' times when I was drinking far too much for my own good.

And a very lucky escape. From someone who considered KFC food.

bundle Thu 04-Aug-05 11:13:54

wasn't it John Peel who had a story about how he went veggie after he saw a delivery left on the floor outside KFC being weed on by a dog???

expatinscotland Thu 04-Aug-05 11:20:42

! Just the thought of having to consume anything from KFC is enough to make me consider vegetarianism.
